Eaten by the Dryer and Spit out as Lint

I've got a little waste basket next to my clothes dryer. I put dryer lint into it.

I haven't emptied this waste basket in years. I'm just lazy. Now the waste basket is full of lint.

If I were to put all the lint together, it equals the size of a shirt or pair of pants.

So it seems to me that over the course of these months, I must've lost at least one complete article of clothing to the lint catcher.

Weird.

Law & Order: Baltimore

My life has taken on a courtroom theme recently.

On Thursday I was on JURY DUTY and spent an invigorating day sitting on the jury of a workmans comp case.

On Saturday my friend from Micronesia came to visit and she's a LAWYER.

And also, last night I went to see a performance of "Easy Rider: A Courtroom Drama on Wheels", a musical drama performed on roller-skates at the Hamden Rec Center.

So, have I come to a fuller and deeper understanding of the mysterious workings of the law? GUILTY AS CHARGED!

I'm okay, folks, don't worry

This bus hit a hotel in downtown Baltimore this morning and I wasn't on it!

OK

I returned home today after four days in Oklahoma City. Do you know, the wind really DOES come sweepin' down the plain? The wavin' wheat, however, does not smell sweet downtown.

Here's the hotel I stayed at: "Hotel Beer." Just kidding!

I was there for the American Choral Directors Association National Conference. I also walked past the bus station.

The memorial for the terrorist bombing was amazing! I discovered it on my first night there and was moved to tears. This big wall marks the time that the bomb went off.

The choir people did a peace concert at the memorial. There were a bunch of kids doing some pseudo-butoh during the concert, which I thought was unneccesary. The memorial is so powerful, it doesn't need anything to distract from it.

Snow Day

Cold weather without snow is like a cone without ice cream.

Well, the ice cream arrived last night:

This was the view out of my bedroom window this morning.

No school!
