Thinking Back on A Delicious Pretense

I found two YouTube clips of my musical, A Delicious Pretense, which was produced in Singapore at the Esplanade in June 2008.

Here is the song "I Hope That I Didn't Keep You Waiting." And this is the finale: "Maybe It's True."

Ahh, memories.

My Own Little Economic Crisis

I found twenty dollars on the ground two week ago.

Now, whenever I feel like making a spur-of-the-moment purchase, like a cup of chai tea or a book, I say to myself, "it really won't cost me anything, since I'll be using the twenty dollars I found."

I've probably wasted fifty bucks that way.

Sheesh.

The Morning Routine

This is what I see every morning while waiting for my bus.

I love how the mist lingers in the little valley in Herring Run Park across the street.

More mist.

It's getting darker every morning, but it's still pretty. Even with all that trash on the ground.

Free Falling at the Cylburn Arboretum

On Sunday afternoon Rohaizad and I went to Cylburn Arboretum. Rohaizad sat and worked with his computer at a picnic table for a while.

The highlight of the afternoon was seeing/hearing a performance of Schubert's Winterreise by Ryan De Ryke in the Victorian-era mansion at the Arboretum. I can't believe it was a free concert; it truly transported me. An amazing afternoon. This is the mansion:

The First Tree to Change Color in My Neighborhood

The first domino has fallen. Might as well hibernate.
