The Lost Cemetery

In my post on November 11, 2008, I mentioned finding the tombstone of Fillipo Marino, a four-year-old who died in 1903, in the woods behind my house. Well, a few days ago, I went exploring through the woods behind his tombstone and found several other gravemarkers.

Some of them were almost completely grown over and most of them were tipped over.

I couldn't make out any dates on the stones, because they were all badly eroded.

I'm going to try to find out why there was a cemetery in Herring Run Park, who is buried there and why it was allowed to get overgrown.
