Who Knew?

I've been playing volleyball on Wednesdays with a group of friends since 2002. Most of them are people I used to work with when I taught at Midtown Academy, but others have joined over the years.

One guy who has been playing with us for many years just published a book, so I went out and bought it. Here it is:

I took it home and read the dust jacket. Well, it turns out that the dude has TWO PULITZER PRIZES! Wow, people are surprising things.

OK, Let's try this AGAIN, sorry about this being my 3rd post! I had problems with the formatting of my first two posts, my sincerest apologies for the confusion!

Your blog about your time in Pohnpei and FSM in general was absolutely amazing, and it was very, very enjoyable read!

I just discovered it a few days ago and have since read each and every entry!

I enjoyed reading your observations of everyday life and work while you were there, it definately sounded interesting.

If you could, would you spend an extended amount of time down there again?

I'm fascinated and very interested in places like FSM. I know that if someone like us from the USA went there, we'd have to give up alot of luxuries, but I think it'd be worth it because I know it'd be an expierience of a life time, one you'd never forget!

I'm curious about a picture in your blog that you posted om Tuesday May 23rd, 2006 at 1:08am. You can see the pic I'm referring to by clicking the link below:

http://photos1.blogger.com/hello/105/9592/320/from%20camera%2030%20mar%2005%20224.jpgThat looks like a tower with a beacon on top. Is that a radio broadcast tower of some kind?

I'm sure there are tons of questions I could ask you over time if you felt like putting up with 'em, LOL!

Someday I hope to save up enough money to be able to travel out to the South pacific. I'd like to take a vacation out there for 2 weeks.. or maybe find some kind of job out there for a year or two.

By the way, I loved all your pictures.. all of em, the pictures of your travels and scenery around you were beautiful.. plus, I liked the pictures of you and your partner, you're both pretty cute! ;=)

Feel free to email me privately, walkerbroadcasting@gmail.com so we can continue this discussion elsewhere, if you want. I couldn't find an email address for you on here, otherwise I would've emailed you directly instead of posting on here.

You can also check out my website, chock full of pictures and audio clips. The link is below!

Have a wonderful day!
